Obverse

On the obverse of the 2025 British Gold Britannia is the first-generation portrait of King Charles III, crafted by Martin Jennings in late 2022 to replace images of Elizabeth II. This effigy made its debut on the 2023 Britannia Coins, showing Charles III in a left-profile relief without a crown.

Reverse

The reverse of the 2025 1/2 oz Gold Britannia Coin features Britannia standing on coastal land, holding a trident and an olive branch over the Union Jack shield. She wears a Corinthian helmet on her head.
