The Mexican Mint launched the Silver Libertad series in 1982, beginning with a 1 oz Brilliant Uncirculated silver coin. A year later, the first proof version was released. Since 1986, proof issues have been struck each year, and the lineup has expanded to include different weights. Right now, BGASC offers the 2025 1/2 oz Proof Mexican Silver Libertad Coin.

Each 2025 1/2 oz Proof Mexican Silver Libertad Coin comes in a protective capsule. Proof coins have a polished background and frosted designs that give them a sharp, detailed appearance. This particular coin has been issued since 1992, with the exception of 2012.
Obverse
For the 2025 proof release, the obverse features the current version of the seal. It depicts a golden eagle with a serpent in its beak and claw, standing on a cactus. Larger coins in the Libertad series also include ten earlier versions of the emblem, but this fractional coin focuses on the single, modern version.
Reverse
The reverse design on the 2025 1/2 oz Proof Mexican Silver Libertad presents the well-known Winged Victory statue. This figure stands on top of the Independence Victory Column, a well-known landmark in Mexico City. Behind the statue, youll see the peaks of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl rising in the distance.
History
The obverse of every Libertad features the Mexican national coat of arms. This symbol reflects key moments in the countrys fight for independence in the 1800s. Leaders of the movement, such as Miguel Hidalgo and Jos Mara Morelos, used the eagle and serpent as symbols of a renewed national identity, free from Spanish and religious influences.

How Does Free Shipping Work?
When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
When will my order ship?
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
Can I choose the method of shipping?
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
Will I need to sign for my package?
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
What about International Orders?
BGASC is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
