First launched in the 1980s, the Libertad collection includes both gold and silver coins, each influenced by the historic design of the 1921 Gold Centenario. Each 2025 1/20 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coin is offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and ships in a plastic flip for safekeeping. The Mexican Mint set strict mintage limits for Mexican Silver Libertads in 2025 and has not produced any 2025 Mexican Gold Libertads. As a result, BU Silver Libertads now have the lowest mintage figures ever recorded in the series, a factor likely to affect their long-term scarcity.

Obverse

On the obverse side of the coin, the 2025 Silver Libertad includes Mexicos national coat of arms. This image shows an eagle with a snake in its grasp, standing on a cactus. The scene reflects a legend tied to the founding of Mexico City.

Reverse

The reverse side features Winged Victory as she appears on the Independence Victory Column. First adopted in 1996, the current design shows Victory in a three-quarter profile, highlighting her stance and setting.
