Obverse

On the obverse side of the 2025 Mexican Silver Libertad, the coin shows the official coat of arms of Mexico. This design displays an eagle perched on a cactus, holding a snake in its beak and talons. Reverse

The reverse side carries a more modern take on Winged Victory, used on Silver Libertads since 1996. She is shown in a three-quarter view as she stands atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column located in Mexico City.

Her image became widely recognized in the 19th century as Mexico developed a national identity after separating from Spanish rule.
