Obverse

On the obverse of the 2025 1 oz Gold Golden Eagle Coin is the national coat of arms for Samoa. This includes a shield with a palm tree and ocean waves, along with the Southern Cross stars. A Christian cross sits above the shield, while a banner at the bottom shows the national motto, FAAVAE I LE ATUA SAMOA, meaning God is the Foundation of Samoa.

Reverse

The reverse of the coin presents a golden eagle in flight. Known for their speed and control, these birds dive at high speeds to catch prey. Their diet consists mostly of small mammals, including rabbits and ground squirrels, and they also scavenge when needed.
