These coins are admired for their beautiful elephant designs, and the series offers both gold and silver coins in different weights. The silver coins are available in sizes starting at 1 oz, including the larger 10 oz option. Now, 2025 10 oz Somalia Silver Elephant Coins are available from BGASC.

Each 2025 10 oz Somalia Silver Elephant Coin comes in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and is packaged in a protective plastic capsule. The 10 oz version is one of the largest in the series, with only the 1 Kilo silver coin surpassing it in size.

Obverse

On the obverse of the 2025 10 oz Somalia Silver Elephant Coin, the design features the coat of arms of Somalia. This includes a crowned shield with a star at its center, supported by two leopards. Below the shield, youll see crossed spears and palm fronds.

Reverse

The reverse of the 2025 Somalia Silver Elephant Coin offers a new image for the year. This design shows a front-facing African bush elephant walking toward the viewer, with the familiar elements of the savanna in the background, including a tree and scattered brush.

History

African bush elephants have adapted to life in hot climates by using their large ears to cool off. They are also great swimmers and use their trunks as snorkels when crossing deep rivers and lakes.
