Obverse

The obverse of the 2025 British Tudor Beasts The Queens Panther Coin features King Charles III. Created by Martin Jennings in 2022, this left-profile portrait marks the first official depiction of the King on British coinage. He is shown without a crown.

Reverse

On the reverse of 2025 2 oz Silver Tudor Beasts The Queen’s Panther, the Seymour Panther is depicted alongside a shield bearing the combined arms of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. This design symbolizes their union and the legacy of the Tudor dynasty.

History

Henry VIIIs marriage to Jane Seymour played a significant role in Tudor history. After ending his previous marriages to Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn, Henry married Jane Seymour to secure a male heir. Coming from a well-connected noble family, Jane fulfilled his hopes by giving birth to Edward VI, who would become king. Tragically, Jane died soon after childbirth.
