Obverse
The obverse of the 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy Silver Eagle highlights Adolph A. Weinmans 1916 Walking Liberty design. The Marine Corps privy, placed beside Liberty, displays the eagle, globe, and anchor adopted in 1868. These elements represent pride in service, global mission readiness, and naval heritage.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025-P Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagle is Emily Damstras 2020 bald eagle image, showing the bird in flight carrying an oak branch. This design has been used in the Silver Eagle series since 2021.
History
The Marines were key to Allied success in the Pacific during World War II, fighting in critical battles at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. Their dedication and skill shaped modern amphibious warfare. The image of Marines raising the flag on Mount Suribachi remains one of the most enduring symbols of their service.
