In 2021, the US Mint brought back two classic silver dollar designs from the early 1900s. This revival celebrated 100 years since the Morgan Dollar was last issued and the Peace Dollar first entered circulation. Today, these updated silver dollars are still being produced for collectors. The 2025 Peace Silver Dollar is now available from BGASC.

Obverse

The obverse of 2025 Peace Silver Dollars features a profile of Lady Liberty facing left. Her hair is styled in a bun, with some strands flowing beside her face. She wears a tall crown with sharp rays spreading outward.

Reverse

On the reverse, youll see a peaceful scene with a bald eagle perched on a rock. The eagle rests with its wings close to its body and looks outward. The rising sun in the background casts its rays into the sky behind the eagle.

History

After World War I, the US Mint began work to restart silver dollar production. Initially, it reused the Morgan Dollar while organizing a competition for a new design. In late 1921, artist Anthony de Franciscis design was selected, and the Peace Dollar was introduced to mark a new era of peace.
