Each coin is kept in a protective capsule and all seven are stored together in a sleek black display case, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Obverse

On the front side of the 2025 Somalia Silver Elephant Coins is the official coat of arms of Somalia. The emblem shows a five-pointed star in the center of a shield, which is topped with a crown. Upright leopards are shown on each side of the shield.

Reverse

The reverse side of each coin has a new image made just for 2025. It shows two large bull elephants in a face-off. These kinds of clashes are common among males during the mating season as they look for female groups. These interactions play an important part in the lives of elephants and the future of their species.

History

African bush elephants are native to many environments in sub-Saharan Africa. They often live in savannas, where there are open areas for grazing and trees for shade. These elephants are also found in forests, deserts, and wetlands. Their habitat choices are mostly based on how close they are to water sources.
