In 2006, the United States Mint added another version to the American Silver Eagle series. This Burnished Silver Eagle starts with silver blanks that are tumbled in a drum containing metal beads and a burnishing solution. The result is a smooth, matte-style finish that looks different from traditional BU or Proof coins. BGASC is now offering the 2025-W 1 oz Burnished American Silver Eagle Coin.

Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025-W Burnished Silver Eagle, youll see the Walking Liberty design. This image, created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916, shows Liberty walking left toward a rising sun. She wears the American flag and holds branches of oak and laurel, symbols of strength and peace.
Reverse
The reverse of the coin shows a bald eagle in flight. Designed by Emily Damstra, the eagle is descending with wings spread and talons forward. In its grip is an oak branch, emphasizing the strength of this national symbol.
History
For Burnished Silver Eagles, each blank is manually placed into a press and struck once under heavy pressure. These coins are carefully handled with cotton gloves to maintain their condition. The finished coin fits between BU and Proof in terms of appearance, offering collectors something special.
