Obverse
The obverse of the 2025-W Burnished Silver Eagle shows Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty design. Liberty is shown walking to the left, wrapped in the American flag, as the sun rises behind her. She stretches one hand forward and carries a bundle of oak and laurel branches in the other.
Reverse
On the reverse side, the coin features an image by artist Emily Damstra of a bald eagle descending in flight. The eagle has its talons open and grabs an oak branch as its wings stretch outward in a powerful pose.
History
The bald eagle was selected as the national bird of the United States in 1782 and placed on the Great Seal. Since then, it has been a lasting symbol of the nation, often shown with wings spread wide, a shield on its chest, and arrows and olive branches in its talons on many U.S. coin designs.
