All 2025-W 1 oz Proof Army Privy American Silver Eagle Coins arrive inside certified plastic slabs. These Proof 69 coins are considered near-perfect and show full original shine from the minting process. Any marks or flaws will be tiny and away from the main details. The DCAM label indicates a deeply mirrored surface with sharply frosted design elements. Coins with the First Strike label were sent to be graded within 30 days of their initial release.

Obverse

On the obverse of the coin is the Walking Liberty design, created by Adolph A. Weinman. This full-length image of Liberty shows her walking toward the sunrise with an outstretched hand. The commemorative US Army privy is displayed in the lower right portion of the design.

Reverse

The reverse of the 2025-W Proof Army Privy Silver Eagle includes a modern bald eagle design from Emily Damstra. The eagle is shown descending with outstretched wings and an oak branch clutched in its talons. The design faces left and was introduced in 2020.

History

The founding of the US Army dates back to June 14, 1775, when the Continental Congress approved a formal army to fight in the American Revolutionary War. At that time, George Washington was chosen to lead this new army of volunteers and colonial militias as the first Commander-in-Chief.
