Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 American Silver Eagle features the famous Walking Liberty portrait by Adolph A. Weinman. Liberty is captured in full-length left-profile as she steps toward the sun at the horizon. She wears the American flag around her shoulders, reaching forward with her right hand while holding branches of oak and laurel in her left.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 1 oz Silver Eagles is the updated depiction of the American bald eagle. Designed by Emily Damstra and first used in 2021, this modern image presents the eagle in flight from above, wings angled downward as it clutches an oak branch with its talons.
History
Across its long run, the American Silver Eagle has helped shape the modern silver bullion market. It has stayed in high demand through multiple economic cycles, serving as a go-to product during unstable periods. When major events like the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic hit, interest in Silver Eagles spiked sharply, reinforcing the coins reputation as a steady bullion choice.
