Introduced in 2024, the series began with bullion coins available in both gold and silver. The 2026 release features the first new Lion and Eagle design since the collections launch. All 2026 1 oz British Gold The Lion and The Eagle Coins are minted in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Each coin contains 1 troy oz of .9999 pure gold. Individual coins are sealed in plastic flips, while larger quantities are packaged in plastic tubes of 10 coins or Monster Boxes of 100 coins total. Each Monster Box includes 10 tubes.
Obverse
The obverse of 2026 British Gold The Lion and The Eagle Coins features the official portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings. The design shows His Majesty in left-facing profile without a crown, continuing a long-standing British tradition. This effigy was first introduced in late 2022.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 1 oz Gold The Lion and The Eagle Coin shows a British lion standing near a shoreline with an American bald eagle soaring above. The scene brings both animals together in a clean and balanced layout. The design was created by artist Jonathan Olliffe.
History
The lion has served as a long-standing symbol of British monarchy and authority. Its use dates back to medieval England, where lions were featured prominently on royal insignia. By the 12th century, three lions became firmly associated with English rulers. Although lions do not naturally live in Britain, the image came to represent leadership, strength, and royal tradition.

How Does Free Shipping Work?
When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
When will my order ship?
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
Can I choose the method of shipping?
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
Will I need to sign for my package?
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
What about International Orders?
BGASC is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
