Each of these 2 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Notes arrives in a plastic currency sleeve for safe keeping. Design

The obverse of the 2 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Note features imagery of a mother and child from a Native American group. In the background, a peaceful riverside village is shown, along with tribal members in a canoe on the river. Oklahomas rich indigenous history reflects both voluntary migration and the impact of relocation policies.

History

During the 1830s, tribes such as the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole were displaced from their southeastern homes in a series of forced removals now known as the Trail of Tears.
