Each 1/2 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Note comes sealed in its own protective sleeve. These notes are made from 24-karat gold and now feature updated UV security elements on the reverse side. The 1/2 Goldback is currently the smallest note offered in the Oklahoma collection.

Design

On the front of the note, youll see a cowgirl on horseback roping cattle. This scene reflects the states proud cowboy culture, which is still alive today. Rodeos, ranching, and country music continue to shape Oklahomas identity, with figures like Gene Autry representing that heritage.

History

Oklahomas ranching history started in the late 19th century when the land became a major route for cattle drives from Texas to Kansas. Following the land runs of 1889, settlers developed large cattle ranches, cementing the states connection to the western frontier.
