History

Only four surviving copies of the Metropolis movie poster, designed by Heinz Schulz-Nuedamm, are known to exist. One is housed in the Museum of Modern Art, another resides in the Austrian National Library Museum, and a third is rumored to be part of Leonardo DiCaprio’s personal collection. The fourth and final poster was sold at the LA auction to Ralph DeLuca, the owner of the largest movie photo collection. This remarkable copper bar is made possible due to the film’s copyright expiring at the beginning of 2023.
