Every 50 Idaho Goldback Gold Note includes 24-karat gold content and is delivered individually inside a plastic sleeve. Orders of two notes are packaged together using a black strap and do not include separate sleeves. These notes also incorporate several security features, including UV-reactive elements, micro-printing, and unique serial numbers designed to help confirm authenticity.

Design

The artwork on the 50 Idaho Goldback Gold Note shows a woman fly fishing along the shores of Redfish Lake. This alpine lake sits in central Idaho at the base of the Sawtooth Mountains at an elevation of approximately 6,550 feet. Known for its striking scenery and clear waters, Redfish Lake earned its name from the large runs of sockeye salmon that historically returned to spawn in the lake. These fish traveled close to 900 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, making it one of the longest freshwater salmon migrations in North America.

History

Patientia, the Roman allegory representing patience and endurance, is depicted as a composed and steady figure. In classical Roman thinking, patientia referred to the ability to endure hardship, delays, or difficulty while remaining calm and focused. The virtue emphasized inner strength and self-control, reflecting a thoughtful choice to remain balanced even when facing adversity.
