Each 100 Arizona Goldback Gold Note comes sealed in a protective currency sleeve. This issue marks the highest denomination in the Goldback series to date. Earlier releases reached 50 Goldbacks, but in 2025 this 1/10 troy ounce note introduced the 100 Goldback denomination, offering a new choice for collectors and gold enthusiasts.

Design

The artwork on the 100 Arizona Goldback Gold Note features Libertas watching over Navajo codetalkers who worked alongside US Marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima. Beginning in 1942, the Marine Corps brought in Navajo speakers to design a code using their native language. Its complexity and distinctive vocabularysubstituting words like turtle for tank and iron fish for submarineallowed quick and secure messages that could not be broken by enemy intelligence.

History

Another highlight of this design is the scene of Window Rock, Arizona. The large red sandstone arch, eroded naturally over time, stands as a symbol of the Navajo Nation. Measuring 47 feet across, it represents cultural pride for the Din and has served as the capital site since 1936, surrounded by key government offices and ceremonial spaces.
